The first one is butternut. The other four are from a dunno burl. I like the lines in them.
Thanks for the inspiration guys!!!!

Those are great. Really like the spalting lines in pic #4. Good job. How big is the opening?

Those are very nice Betty, my daughter would love some of those....do you just measure around the persons wrist to get the size you need?

NOTE - This is interesting, I now see this little yellow flag come up in the lower right hand corner of these posts that says "auto save", is this one reason why the forum was down this morning, adding this feature?

Very nice Betty! I made some pendant and earring sets last Christmas and haven't done any since. I can see some bracelets coming this year.

Nice Betty!
that "dunno burl" is beautiful. my daughter asked me to make her a bracelet.
I'll have to give this a try....so, thanks for the inspiration to you!

Umm I think the opening in the center is 2 and 3/8 inches and those particular ones are for presents. I do have four extras that we are going to try to sell. They really only take about thirty minutes to finish. Set up the blank and round it out, core out the middle, cut off the bracelet, put it on a chuck with the rubber band to protect the center, use a scraper to shape the edges, sand, and finish on the lathe. The 2 3/8 seems to work for most adults.

I might have to try some of these, maybe making a matching set of bracelets, rings and earrings out of laminated pices of wood like my rings.

Eric,
If you do that please tell me how you do it. I'm most interested in the earrings. Also put up some pics of the finished work or pics of the work in progress if you please.
Thanks you!
Betty

Your bracelets look good, very nice work. what is dunno? I've always thought that meant, do not know.

Yes. Dunno is I have no idea what kind of wood it is. We belong to three different woodturning clubs and we got that piece at a raffle at one of them. It required a lot of ca glue to stabilize it.
