It seems like I have spent two months getting the finish right on this piece of Red Oak. You know the deal you just keep working on it until you get there. High Gloss Polly

Is that the monster you can put a 12-pack in? Sure looks pretty!

She stands about 12 tall and 10 inchs across-----not really a monster but a good selling size for my market.

Gary that is a great looking piece. That should sell well. I just turned a oak bowl and tried a different approach to finishing. When I had the inside and outside finish sanded while still on the lathe I soaked it with Antique Oil and wet sanded it with 220 and then 320. I am really pleased at how it turned out. I just have the second coat on it now. Will probably do 3. I will post shortly.

Bernie I spin the oil into the wood while it's still on the lathe.
