Only about a year late but, a gift for some friends who got married in Vegas. The original invitation is on the left. We only had a poor cellphone picture so I added a funny though-bubble to inspire the happy couple to put a decent picture into the frame.

Shellac'd walnut with tempered hardboard retaining panels. Hardware: Lee Valley.

First anniversary present... Real nice work on the frame Glenn. You've got to love that G&G style and in walnut to boot.
One quick question. Are the two end rails just glued or did you add a dowel?

Thanks Gary. The end pieces are set into a groove about 1/4" deep and epoxied. My original design included some ebony pegs for the outside stiles but, in reality, with the figured walnut trim pieces this proved a bit busy so I passed on them (glad I didn't chop out the square holes ahead of time like I usually do ).
