how much is qtr sawn African mahogany worth its 4/4 stock is 4 dollars a bdft a good deal

I guess it depends on the area. Here in LA, 4/4 S2S FAS QS is around $5.25 bf. Haven't checked into rough prices. I will be going to Bohnhoff Lumber in a couple of weeks to check out some stuff, mahogany as well. All their rumber is rough sawn. I'll update on prices.

Depends on the quality. I am always wary of low prices as that usually means low quality, lots of defects, etc. I last paid $6.60 for quality 10" wide.

Went to Austin Hardwoods in Santa Ana today. QS S2S African Mahogany was 4.85 or there abouts. This was the first time I went there as they're quite a ways from where I live, but I think I'll be becoming a regular there. Awesome store, awesome selection, awesome prices.
