WOW! Whoever Rob is, he certainly has taken the time to do us all a great service by building such a comprehensive list. :)

WOW! WOW!

I must echo the esteemed colleagues that have posted before me. Just on the exterior it appears that it is going to be a very useful tool.

I appreciate everyone's kind words. I've learned quite a bit here, at WoodCentral, and especially on the OldTool list. Not having quite the tool expertise to give back, yet, this is my contribution to you all.

The Knowledge Base is continuing to grow. I've been getting a lot of good feedback from my fellow Galoots, and if anyone here has a favorite handtool link that is not currently accounted, please feel free to e-mail or private message me.

Quite likely I will be splitting the page up into multiple pages soon. It's already growing unweildy, so a main index page linked the multiple subject pages with the individual links is probably how I will go. Don't worry, the main index page will have the same web address as the current page.

Thanks again, and keep making shavings.

Very handy collection, Rob. If any of the moderators see this--wouldn't it also be useful in the main site? I nearly missed it, were I not looking for something else on this forum.

As an aside, I often bookmark useful sites and organize the bookmarks into folders, as I imagine many of you do. But lately I've adopted a new practice that comes in handy--I create pdf's from web pages using Adobe Acrobat (the full version, not just the reader). There are a few advantages to this: the info is now stored on your computer as a file, and so you don't need access to the internet to look at it; web pages usually print out better from a pdf; if the page ever moves or disappears, you still have it. I don't do this for all pages of course, only those I find very useful.
