driving to Niagara Falls

We are going to drive in a few weeks to Niagara Falls for a few days, after that to New Haven, CT and going home to Washington DC.
Same time my second half agreed to visit a one-two (?) mills. I am looking for Karelian Birch, Olivewood and other exotic wood species.
Would you please give me some advice to where to find a few good sawmills?

Any other points - like where to eat, what to see will be greatly appreciate.
