The oak burl top is 18" in diameter and 1 1/4" thick. It was quite the chunk of wood spinning on the lathe!!! I must have spent $25.00 on 5 min epoxy to fill most of the voids.

It is 28 inches tall. I started using AO but it would not soak into the Oak and just gummed up. I then removed it, did a little sanding and ended up waxing it with Ren wax. I REALLY need to learn how to spray things like this.

I bought the maple for the pedestal and legs at a local place out of their soft maple bin. Neither of us realized that is has some very nice curl in it which does not really show well in the pics. The pedestal is made out of five pieces and the legs are bent lamination.

All C&C welcomed.

It would not fit into my tent so I did the best I could do with the pictures. Not very good but....

Toney, that is really unique!!! Love that top - fantastic piece of wood. I am surprised the surface is flat - must have been good and dry. Great work on the laminations.

Very stylish!!

Toney that table is something else. I'm like John, that top is really nice. I also like that center ring. It seems to set it off. Very nice job!

Very nice work on the table top. I am a sucker for anything maple burl and you did it justice. I have had a couple BLM platters which were about 10-12% moisture when finished and when dried to 5-6%, they did not warp but the wood around the 'eyes' of the burl shrank away from the harder 'eyes' leaving a rather lumpy irregular surface. Hope yours is more stable. Love the legs but IMHO, the dark center of the pedestal is a distraction to the beautiful top. Excellent execution.

Wow! That top is unbelievable! So many nice details to take in on the lower portion, but my eyes keep coming back to that top!
