View Full Version : Last brass finial. No.4

This is the last piece in my brass finial series, mainly due to running out of suitable brass rod! LOL.This one(No.4) is based more on one of my pointy ended vessels but with a carved curved tail/point. Its made from a slightly rotten piece of Elm. The form measures 6" long and the finial about 2". Its mounted on a rough piece of Oak which has been ebonised.
Comments and critiques most welcome.

That is a great looking piece Johnny. it all works very well together...but never say never....you may get inspired by something down the road you never know.

Tim, yes you are right, never say never. Its just the end of this little series, I think brass and Elm go so well together that I am bound to do more with these again. The first piece of the next idea is nearing completion though........
