I just finished replacing some siding on the house using Hardy board, a cement product. It's very hard, and in smooth planks so I thought it might be interesting to play with in the laser. Before I throw a piece into the machine to see what it does, create a mess, and possibly damage the machine, has anyone played with this material before?

I have not tried laser engraving Hardy Board (cement board). I am fairly certain it is made of cement and resin-- not sure what type of resin though. I think it would laser comparatively to brick. But the resin filler is the wildcard.

Hi
Don't bother-tough stuff- the Taliban uses it for roofs for their outhouses.

I figured it would be too hard to work with, probably better sand carved, at least easier. Don't think I'll try.
