question on part for accuris powersharp 12

Hi Everyone,
I have been trying to find out why the laser light is shattered and fragmented.
It is not the alignment it is the little cell-like "laser eye" that is connected to the tube before it points at the mirrors. There is no part # or name on it.
I e-mailed signwarehouse yesterday but no luck. I understand Kevin is the ONLY tech!!!!
If I could find out what this part is called maybe I could find a company that can supply something.

its called the red light pointer or the red led pointer.

Do you know if this is a common occurance? Does it just wear out and break?

Sometimes it goes funny , cost should be in the $10-20 range to replace it.
