Fellows, I've finally got started on a round pedestal coffee table project for my wife. The last couple weeks I've completed the feet and pedestal. I'll post some photos soon. Looking ahead on the project, I'm about ready to try bent laminations to construct the apron. I figure the aporn will be about 4" wide x 40" diameter. The table we are using for a model has "itialian bead molding" around the lower third of the aporn. I'm not sure I can find this molding, if not I will use some type of split rope trim. My question is how would you go about bending and attaching the molding to fit the 40" dia aporn? Steam bending is the only way I can think of, but I don't know if the molding can with stand the stress. Any suggestions on sources of bendable molding and techinques to apply it? thanks-
