Hi. Attached are photo's of a new Carcass Backsaw I recently just finished work on. The handle is made of Mallee Red Burl timber. The saw blade size is 14" x 3" depth. Its been sharpened 14 tpi to a traditional 15/45 cross cut tooth pattern with a 20 degree fleam. A quite pleasing result after many hours of work.

Stewie,

AWESOME! Just like George, Klaus, Peder, Derek and others here your work is really inspirational and sets a standard I don't think I'll ever achieve.

How do you get the profiles of the details like the lamb's tongue and the top of your handle so crisp and yet so smooth? I'd be really interested in the tools you find most helpful in doing this kind of work.

Secondly, can you tell me more about the indentation on the top of the saw back just in front of where it is morticed into the handle? It's a beautiful detail I don't recall seeing before?

Thanks for sharing your work and insights!

Thanks again, Mike
