25+ years ago after my wife said "I Do" she asked me to make her a hopechest. After several unsuccessful attempts I finally got one to her liking. It is made from a White Ash tree I cut off my Dad's farm. The interior is aromatic cedar, and the chest is on four casters for easy movement.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v229/GardenBay/100_0681_0005.jpg

Nice. It's hard to tell from the picture, but it almost looks as if it's made from shiplapped boards.

It seems strange that she asked you to make it after you were married. What is she hoping for?????

Nice looking chest, lots of room.
