I need help identifying this wood. It is as hard as Oak and as heavy. I am leaning towards Elm or Chestnut. Thought one of you could enlighten me.

MaxIf you are going to link to picture, you must use the little icon that looks like a "yellow square with mountains" to input the URL. For some reason, any other method for putting in a link to an external picture fails in my experience. Or...you could just use the normal attachment capabilty of SMC to upload your pictures directly to the server and display in your post. That method also preserves the pictures for future viewing by folks searching the system, even if you remove the pictures from your hosting site at a later date. (or they are "removed for you" by something not under your control...)

Also, if you are previewing your posts...stop. That also screws up attachments and maybe other forms of linking...

Max, if your using Photobucket, go to where the picture you want to upload is located and below it, you will see three boxes labeled Url - Tag and Img. Copy the line of text in the Img box and then place it in your post here on SMC. That should do the trick.
