I have "finished" my two class projects from my Jimmy Clewes class, one done in class, the other a homework task. Both are from Hard Maple, and I finished both with one coat of Danish Oil then buffed and waxed them.

I usually turn green wood so this was different, working with dry wood. Got one small split it the lid of the box but it's very small and isn't impacting it at present.

C&C welcome.

Class work, 7" x 3.5"

Nice stuff Kelvin..........I like that box. Interesting winged box as well.........that kind of form takes a good bit of tool control and finesse.

The box should have been posted seperatly Kelvin!!! It's a great box! The winged thingy is something else though and is grabbing way to much of my attention

Nice work on both but the matching curves in the winged box is noteworthy! Sounds like you had a good time with the Clewes class!
