Does anyone in the forum have first hand experience with the 3-D Nextengine? Good luck, bad luck, any luck at all? Thank you.

I have a NextEngine scanner. I find that it is fairly difficult to get a good scan that properly knits and has no issues. There is usually some part of an item in shadow, and knitting different views together doesn't always work well. You need to manually go in and fix some spots. I'm sure with more practice and having the right surface and parameters set, it would only be better. Some items like a small plaster bust will have just the right reflectivity to work well. Other surfaces work pretty poorly.
