FWW Green Wood Bowl Turning

Has anyone seen this on the FWW site? I thought it was interesting, as it is quite the opposite of how I have seen almost everyone else turn a bowl.

Only two fixings, does both exterior and interior from a faceplate, then jam chucks to do the foot. Maybe because it's green and he wants to minimize time=warpage......??

I have not seen that but your description of the technique matches the way I have done many bowls. It is an excellent way to make bowls if you do an good job cutting the log initially to set up the orientation.
