is this still one of the better bang for the buck deals for an electric chainsaw?

I have no desire for a gas saw and I've used this particular saw in the past with great success. I need to pick one up tomorrow and need advice. Is there a better one out there in this price range?

Thanks!
Jon

Lets see-----less than a $100.00----unless you find one at a yard sale I don't see how it's going to get any cheaper.

I've not used it a lot, but really like it. Mine has plenty of power. I also have a Stil gas that I use more. I've used the Sears to split wood and it does very well.

If this is going to be your only chainsaw then I recommend you get a Sthil. My opinion is buy a chainsaw from the folks that make them for a living.

I think it would do the job nicely. I used one last mont and it had plenty of power. Worked rather well.

It'll do nicely as long as you're talking about light duty. Charlie's right.....sharp chain is a good thing, and knowing how to sharpen them is essential. What I liked about my electric is that I could use it in the shop without worrying about fumes.

I have a couple of Stihl electrics. The Worx brand electrics get some pretty good reviews and are priced well.

I bought a Polan Pro for 89.00 and have been very happy with the way it cuts and that you use regular motor oil for the bar.

I bought the one from Sears and am picking it up tomorrow. $89 on some sort of sale they had last night. Looking forward to having my own saw.
