I made this candy dish for my wife's brother and his wife who own a dairy farm and a good sized maple syrup operation in the central part of New York state.
As you can see on the picture of the bottom of the dish , i turned this on a faceplate and filled the screw holes with CA and dust from sanding the dish; i did it that way because this piece of wood was rather badly checked when i started on it and i felt like it would come apart on me if i used my Nova G3 chuck like i normally do
this is Sugar Maple, size is approx. 6" diameter and 5" tall finish is clear Danish Oil buffed with Beall system
