Made a batch of peppermills with my mother in law wanting 3 of them. She is going to Sweden and wanted them for gifts. There are 2 here made from cherry, one from ash, another a combo of maple and douglas fir and the last one is jatajuba and purple heart. I went to Nick Cook's demo at the AAW Synposium and picked up some good tips on making these quicker. I still have 2 more in process.

Nice work, Greg. All are nice, but I like the walnut/fir laminated the best, I believe. Nice form/size and color.

Nice job Greg! I like the clean lined ones best for some reason. Remind of the Osolnik style candle holders I suppose.

Awesome job. Been wanting to do some mills. What type if insert did you use? Ceramic? Do you do the saltshaker with them?

I use the Crush Grind ceramic mechanism. They can be used for either salt or pepper and I have only made one matching set. It's too hard to make 2 of the same thing!

Baxter:

I copied the shape of a chrome salt and pepper set sitting on our kitchen table. There is also a walnut pepper mill there too that I made a few years ago.

Greg, the mills look great. Just wish I had time to figure them out. Looks like I will have to add this on my list.

Greg, I watched a demo at the symposium on making a pepper mill and I have the parts to make 3 od them and just need to get at it. I like the cherry one with the round top and beads, but with making pepper mills one can glue up a great number of wild or mild blanks.

I am sure the ones headed to Sweden will be appreciated and used daily,

Nice work,

Jeff
