Small Pecan platter from crotch wood

Here is a small pecan platter I just finished. It was out of a small branch crotch.

LATE ENTRY**** Demensions - 6.5"w x 1.5"t

Process:
· Roughed to about 3/4"
·Boiled for an hour
·Placed in Paper bag with shavings for about a month (not long enough as the platter has moved a good bit since finished turning)
·Sanded to 600
·Finished with 15-20 coats 100% Pure Tung Oil

Thank you for your kind words. I was really happy about the look the wood came up with. THat feather in the middle was a tuff one, all end grain sticking up. took a good bit of sanding to get the Tung Oil to even out.
