Out pear,
dia 12 X H 6.5cm
the goal was to try a tool I made to texture orange peel (style John Jordan does)
The "rust" is traditionally old ferrous acetate. Dark background is done with fabric dye.
Powderd with iron oxide and finally generously rubbed with shavings.
Primitive look, but not happy with the rust.
It's just an attempt, I hope to develop the technique.
Wish all good turnings

Very nice! Since I can't read your mind for your exact intentions, it looks perfect to me. I think every piece you experiment with is a guinea pig by definiton of the word. Any experiments considered a failure will gladly be received here, and accepted postage COD. Thanks for posting, I love it.

Lionel, I like this a lot. I think the form is very nice and the coloring really adds to the overall appearance.

Lionel - I really like this one! Great form, carving and I think you did great with the orange peel effect for texture! The ferrous acetate looks pretty good to me - can't imagine how you could improve on it - but I am sure you will try!

Looking forward to seeing what you create next!
