Not being particularly fond of sawn off box tops, I've been experimenting with different methods and came up with this one, a bevel top box of frame and panel construction. This one actually uses a double frame where the inner frame is T&G into the outer frame and provides overall greater stability. The nice thing about this design, as you can see, is the appearance of the underside which is as nice as the top side but also has a domed appearance. The frames themselves are a series of laminations of contrasting wood.
