Another NE from the same stash of wood as the other NE I posted not too long ago. Not much different than the other bowl, but the wood is too pretty not to share.

Very pretty Mark! Looks like a cross-section of a branch also... nice that you managed to include it!

Very nice. The cherry should darken up to some really beautiful shades.

Very nice - I just found a cherry tree that went down behind our development and got permisssion to cut it up - this gives me some inspiration to fire up the chainsaw!

I agree. Cherry heartwood is always worth admiring. I particularly like the angle you use as you cut through the bark. It maximizes the NE look. I also like how you mark the wood and date on your photo. How do you do that?

How do you do that?
I just use the "add text" function in my photo editor.

Very nice! I haven't tried one of those in a while. I wasn't able to keep that much bark on it.
