Bowl storage in shop.

I've been walking over and around bowls in my shop every since I finished building it a few years ago. I decided to knock out some cabinet boxes to hang in my shop to help keep them out of my way. I counted the bowls as I put them on the new shelves and I had over 90 roughed out, with most dry enough to return and sand. The distance between the shelves is around 15". It has helped a great deal in cleaning up my shop.

That is a right good idea, Jack! Besides, building them allows you to go back to the flat side........if even for a short while! :eek::D:rolleyes:

Please I must know. How on earthe did you turn those shelves on your lathe......I have so much to learn yet.

Jack, That is sort of what I have, but the shelves are plumb full and and I got some plastic snap together shelves from a buddy when he moved to Texas that I set up in the upstairs of my shop, they are full too and just about every flat surface and half of the steps going up are stacked too! Like John said when he stopped in for a visit was that I had a varitible fortune in turnings if I would get them finished! Some day soon.......or maybe not!

Great shelves, better start on the next set, it is just like a shed "The bigger you make it the more you collect to fillit up!"

Jack - the shelving looks great! I have one entire wall with built-in shelves, 4 of the big heavy-duty plastic shelves and a tablesaw - all full of turnings! I agree with Jeff... now that you know what works... build some more cause you are going to use them!

Thanks everyone, as the bowls on these shelves become dry I can put them in the upstairs of my shop until I get around to them. This should allow me to have room for as many bowls as I will have time to turn.
