I like to keep tabs on my friends and when something good happens - I do what I can to let everybody know!

Our good friend John Keeton has been accepted to the Kentucky Arts Council - not an easy process to get through - and they just posted a press release about their new artists.

See if any of the artwork looks familiar!

Congratulations Mr K.Watching you evolve into a turner, has been truly inspirational for me. Kind of what made me choose the lathe and bandsaw over the tablesaw when setting up my patio work shop.

You folks are just too kind - thanks again, for all the kind words of encouragement. One just never knows what lies ahead, but I have to admit, this turning thing has changed my entire thought process for the "golden years." I had anticipated a much less exciting existence!

Congratulations John! A well deserved honor!

I've come to the conclusion that the secret to success in this woodturning thing is the ponytail. ;) I knew Steve S had one and I wondered if it gave him that artists touch. But I didn't now John sported one until seeing the pics of him at the AAW shindig. Now I'm convinced, it's the ponytail!

Again John, Congratulations!
