Just a few of the 668 photos I took while checking out the symposium! Managed to take a photo of everything (to my knowledge) that was in the instant gallery. So if you need a photo of your turning and didn't get one... let me know and I'll see if I can locate it.

Here are a few of the famous ones...

199607
John Keeton and Cindy Drozda

199605
Bill Luce

199608
John Keeton and Baxter Smith

199609
Robin Costelle and John Keeton

199602
David Ellsworth

199601
Stuart Batty

199600
Johannes Michelson

199599
Dave Schweitzer during his Hollow Form and Finials demonstration. Dave was the only celeb I stuck around and watched the entire demo. Excellent delivery and one heck of a turner!

Thanks for sharing Steve. I see a lot of faces that I met at the Richmond Symposium. Lots of good stuff.

Nifty!! I can see that I would have come home penniless.

Oh wait...I'm already penniless!!

I have no clue why you had a picture of me in this group when you already had a picture of JK, but I do know why that big grin was on my face. John had just finished giving me a detailed (and quite excited) description about your recent decent into the deepest part of the vortex. I was either wondering if you could now hold the camera steady or he was someday imagining following you there!;):D Either way, that memory still brings a smile to my face!

Baxter - John was funny about all that! I believe he was more excited than I - not because I got the lathe but because he could claim that he told me so!!! I also knew that I didn't have to say a word once I told John!! Talk about kids!! ;) :D

Steve,

Congratulations on the new lathe! I know you'll love it!:D I had a chance to turn on an AB when I hooked up with Bill Grumbine for lessons last year. It's a great addition. I'm looking forward to seeing more beautiful turnings by you!

I missed the Symposium this year:( but will be in attendance next year in San Jose. Hope you'll be there...I'd love to meet you!
