I just picked up three new-to-me tools tonight thanks to my local craigslist.

One of them is a Grizzly 14.5 inch bandsaw the placard says model: 55559 and I can't find it or the manual on Grizzly's website. It's 1HP and the date stamp is 1999. Anyone help me find a user manual? Here's a low-res picture, I'll post a better one later. I paid $200 which in my used market seemed fair.
199573

From the same guy I also picked up a 1999 G1023 240v Table Saw for $350
199575

And a 1999 G7946 Drill Press for $150
199576

Not sure about elsewhere but around here this all seems pretty gloat-worthy so I'm pretty pleased!

Great buys ! You should look above and spot the many gloat birds just waiting to adorn your path! Hoot!

That 1023 is an especially great buy IMO.

Enjoy !

That 14" bandsaw is probably identical to the new 555 models. All those c-frame cast saws are virtually identical. Nice snag BTW.

Does that band saw have the tension release assembly on the back like a G0555? If so, other than some cosmetic trim it should be identical...

Thanks guys I'm headed out to the "shop" here in a minute to hook up the 220v circuit for the table saw and snap some more pictures.. I'll be back in a bit with more info and more questions.

Alrighty 220 is hooked up and table saw is purring like a kitten. I just need to find a manual for the band saw and get some cool blocks/extra blades now. Here are some more pics of the tools and my shop-in-progress since we bought the new house, also a couple pics of my "shop" at the apartment prior to the house.. lemme tell you 400sq feet is much nicer than 6sq feet!

So, can anyone tell me what model this band saw is or do I need to email Grizzly? It'd be nice to be able to order parts, etc.. :-)

It sure was nice to go from a water-heater closet to a 2 car garage!

David.... From an ad in the April 1999 Fine Woodworking, the bandsaw looks like Grizzly's G1019Z. Sold for $299.95 (plus $40 shipping) in April 1999.

Here's the Spec Sheet: http://cdn0.grizzly.com/specsheets/g1019z_ds.pdf

You're welcome. Just a little something from "the worst of The Creek". (wink-wink, Scott)
