Well, I spent most of the day drooling all over myself at the Woodworking Show today. Shoulder to shoulder and hard to get around. Most of the same old folks that you see year after year. I hope the tables on the MM16 and MM20 don't rust! :D I spent most of my time, however, at a small booth that didn't get a lot of attention, :D ;) at least from most of the crowd! They hadn't been there for the last 4 or 5 years. Hopefully, I, at least in part, convinced them to come back next year. Unfortunately, I don't yet have anything to show yet except this. I think I remember Dave referring to this as "woodworker's porn" :D .

Woodworkers porn! Only woodworkers would rather have a calendar of Planes, than a calendar of pretty women in the shop! :)

DO YOU MEAN THERE ARE 11 MORE PICTURES LIKE THIS? :D :D Be still my heart. Sign me up. I hope they're at the Milwaukee show. I would like one of those.

Hmm, they were very popular at the Atlanta show, crowded the entire time, so hard to get close that I missed the calendar too :(. But then Atlanta was iced out for at least one of the show dates.

OOOooohhhhhhhh AAAAAAahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! I love pin-ups...like that!! ;) I spent a fair bit of time at the L-N booth at the Edison NJ show earlier in the year and learned a lot from watching the fellow work on a beautifully figured maple board with a bunch 'o fine planes. Truly educational.

Mark: sorry we couldn't link up this year at the show. Hopefully, the 2006 STL show will land on a non-major flower holiday for me.

BTW: Love that calendar:)

Mark,
you should have hollered. I too was at that same show yesterday. Watched as my good friend spent about $3300.00 at Hydraflow's display. He smoked one credit card on a Delta saw then went back and bought an 8" planer and smoked another. The thing that impressed his wife most was the air cleaner and dust collection system that he got for almost no money at all.

Jim

Oh, by the way I see, Lie-Neilson display also, what a money pit it is:)

Took the day off to go. My wife went with me so I wouldn't do anything "foolish." Couldn't really justify anything big since I have an MM16 on the way.

I think I remember Dave referring to this as "woodworker's porn" :D .
Mark,

I think you meant to say "erotica" rather than "porn."

Porn = sleaze aimed exclusively at the baser instincts.

Erotica = artistic beauty that stimulates the mind, the soul, and the body.

The LN calender is woodworkers' erotica!

Now then, where can I get one????

Tom,
You are absolutely correct. I think that Dave was actually referring to a number of catalogs when he referred to them as "porn".

Teresa,
They are FREE with a purchase! :D

Jim,
I wondered how long it would take for the police to show up. I guess Tyler is on vacation. :D Actually, that is why I posted the picture on the calender. It's being shipped. :(
