What's a good price on a used Robland Model TZ, table saw/shaper, with 3HP/1 phase motors, sliding table and Biesemeyer fence? I've seen one being advertised but don't know any details, yet. Thanks. John

I don't have any personal experience with this machine, but have seen them in an old Laguna catalog. Seems like a nice, robust machine, with the nice feature of 2 pieces of machinery in one footprint. However, it is not like the format-style sliding tablesaws that everyone sells these days. The TZ has a sliding table much like the aftermarket add-ons that can be added to a standard cabinet saw. This means there is a small space between the sliding table and the blade. Personally I don't think this is a reason to bypass this machine if it is available for a reasonable price. You will be getting 2 machines in one package, taking up much less space in your shop than one of each. I say go for it.

If it's the one in Buffalo the ad has been removed.
