Craftsman Jointer Planer rarely used. Model No. 113.206801, I can get this jointer for 100$ what want to use it for is to get a straight edge on rough cut lumber, would it be to small? or would it work fine?

I recently restored a Craftsman 6" jointer planer (#103.23900) that is a predecessor of the 113.206801 you mention. I bought new knives for it, had the cutter head bearings replaced and after a couple weeks' work, have a fully functional if not elegant jointer. The biggest hassle I have with it is getting the tables parallel to one another and with the cutter head. Setting knife height is pure tedium, but magnets and dial indicator are a bit help.

Does it work? You bet! Very well, in fact. For $100, do you get a motor, stand? If so, and if you don't mind some tweaking, run, do not walk, to get the thing. Buy the best knives you can find that fit it and you won't be sorry.

yes it includes stand and motor, needs new/sharpened blades. i can also get a delta x5 jointer for 250$ would that be worth it? I want to give a straight edge to 8-10ft rough cut boards
