Gluing PVC/ABS to Acrylic?

Is it possible to glue PVC/ABS to Acrylic without too much hassle? I've got acrylic adhesive as well as epoxy etc. I'm concerned that the acrylic cement may destroy the pvc or abs. Any thoughts? Thanks

Depends on the use. The correct adhesive for that is Weldon #16 but if you are using slip fittings like for instance a PVC elbow and an acrylic tube then a good all purpose PVC/CPVC/ABS cement will work well . I have a vessel for my reef tank which has been under pressure for over 3 years an has not sprung a leak..and I used the PVC/ABS cement on that.
