The Mrs. just got a job yesterday after almost 8 months. Now to get the stepson off the couch.....

Hooray! Send her my congratulations too. We do indeed live in a time when a paycheck is a better status symbol than anything you might buy with it :D. Many are deprived of the ability to earn a living despite marketable skills. Glad she found the work. For the stepson, try a bucket of cold water first thing in the morning. If that fails, or the work just isn't around to be had, there is always something to be done around the house to earn one's keep.

My wife just landed a job as a school teacher starting in September. I'm not super happy that she is going to be working. However, the peace of mind and added security sure helps ease the sting. Congrats to you both!

My wife just lost her job... she's out and about trying to put in her resume but about %80 of the buildings are empty for lease and the rest shoe her away...
