It has been a while since I posted. I have been a bit busy and have finally gotten around to shooting some pics of recent turnings. I will try to post a few over the next few days.

This ambrosia maple hollow form is 8 inches by 4 inches with a 7/8" opening. It was rough turned and dryed for 6 months before returning to the lathe.

The simple finish is walnut oil and a light buff with Renaissance Wax.

Comments and critique are welcome and appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

Dale

Well that's a fine "I'm back" piece Dale! I like that form and the wood/finish really sells it. Nice!!

That's a beautiful form, Dale! The woods not too shabby, but I keep coming back to the form. Nicely done, sir!

Sweet. All around. The figure in the wood is subtile enough to really pull you into the form.

Like others have said, very nice piece of wood, but the form really makes it with this one, good job.

Thanks for the nice comments about this form. I was trying to achieve a very simple form with a small opening. I have some other pieces from the same log that I will try to post soon.
