Hi Everyone
I don't have a true cabinetmakers workbench. I have an torsion box assembly table (3' x 6' and the top is approx 3" thick) that has started to do double duty as a workbench. I want to add 1 or maybe even 2 steel vises on it.
I'm considering using the 12" jorgensen vise on the front of the table and the 9" vise on the end to act as a tailscrew. I would build up the front apron so that I can accomodate dogholes along the front edge in line with the steel bump up on the vise.
Any thoughts on these vises? They are the quick release versions. Any other options i should consider. These were attractive given thier price, but if someone has something cheaper....please chime in!
Thanks
George
