Display stand for pens

This is stand that I made for displaying pens in a local shop that has kindly offered to display and sell my pens.

Made from the sapwood of camphor laurel and finished with a burnishing oil sanded to 600 grit.

Any comments are welcome.

I like the shape, and keeping it a natural color looks nice. My two criticisms would be the natural color may make the (also) natural color pens stand out less than they should, and I would have tried to match the grain a bit more on the four section of the upright.

I'm not sure if I like the wood itself, but the design is great! But the more I think about it, the use of a subtle wood makes one pay more attention to the beautiful pens!
