Here are some pepper mills I turned recently. The first is a salt shaker and pepper grinder set for a friend. Making one wasn't too difficult but trying to make a matching salt shaker was pretty tough. I'm not sure I succeeded. They are made from Cherry from my dad's property.
The last is a wedding gift for my niece. It is box elder with a little spalting.

Very nice job Paul. I will be trying my hand at a first pepper mill soon and I will be happy if it turns out just half as nice as yours.

Nice work Paul - especially on the set! The spalted Box Elder sure is pretty! I am sure your niece will love it!

Very nice Paul. Classic looking mills! I would have trouble making anything other than ones that vaguely resembled each other!

I think you did an excellent job of matching the pair. I really like the spalting the last one. Good job.
