After attempting to drill the holes for the pins on a table top with a home made jig :mad: I finally got them perfect :). Took Bill Hubers advice and went ahead and got the Jessem dowel jig, was quite a hassel and pricey! :eek:, but I have to say that it's worth it's weight in gold. After plugging the first holes I lined up the jig to drill the 1st hole 1 1/4" in, then set the distance for the next one and went right on down the line doing 5 holes in each edge equal distance apart and from the outside edge of the table. You do have to really be on your toes as to using the same surface to reference from, it would be easy to go from the wrong surface or edge and end up doing some more plugging, very impressed with this jig. It's something you wont use very often but when you do it sure makes thing easier, kinda like a pair of sissors.
