Another turned box of cherry about 2 5/8" in diameter and 2 3/4" tall.

You could keep cherries in it just not very many. :)

Alan, I use a homemade mixture of BLO, tung oil, and varnish equal parts and thinned with 2 parts mineral spirits. I make it in small jars, baby food-sized, when I need it because I find it has a limited pot life.

I like looking at this box. I especially like the treatment of the top, and the way the top and bottom match so perfectly. Thanks for the picture.
