There is a stupid story about this one...but I won't glorify it with electron distruction. Curly maple from Mr. Smith, black, blue and Formby's tung oil finish then some WoP. Due to more errors, ebonized collar and some turquoise for giggles and cover up. 6x3.
C&C used on the next one.

Jim, coverups and all, this is really a pretty nice piece! I like the color, and I like the collar/matrix application. The form looks good, too.

I like it! Very nice color and I like your use of turquoise as a variation of the blue theme. Works great! Nice form also! I don't see any problem areas!

Not sure how I missed this one, but I'm glad I found it. I like the cool coloring. I see a little hiccup in the curve about a third of the way up from the bottom, but photos can be deceiving. Love the shine and the figure. I wish my mistakes turned out so well.

I keep coming back to this and as previously stated. I love blue...blue eyes, blue skies, and blue Wood!!! It's different, and I like it. I haven't tried the turquoise yet, but I've got some dark mesquite around somehwere....hmmmmmm.

Photo trick doc...I'm still working on my lighting:p. Some great curl and one little bug hole. I felt kind of bad since as it was drying, there were several blue pieces to show up:o

Cool colors and the turqoise accent ring really stands out. Nice job Jim.
