I made this piece a while back as an off the wall experiment, the grain and the colors clash but the form is pretty good. My wife liked it a lot; I posted a picture in this thread;

I am at work for several more days but she took it to a local art guild show and it got - "Best of Show". Who knows what the judges will like? The color contrast is not quite as dramatic as before (on the outside) but I thought it needed to mellow a lot more.
