The headmaster at my children's school is retiring after 27 years. The school has some magnificent trees, and I know he really likes them. When I was taking photos for the school website he even pointed out specific trees that he wanted shots of.

One day I was at the school and there were some tree trimmers working, so with a little cajoling I convinced them to cut a branch off a huge Oak tree that is the focal point of the headmasters residence.

This bowl from that tree will be my gift to him for leading my children from preschool through 8th grade, and for him to be reminded of the beautiful campus that was a part of his life for 27 years.

Great looking bowl John! Really like the bead work at the rim! Almost look like they are floating! I am sure the headmaster will be thrilled with your gift!

Great job, John!!! Wonderful bowl with a lot of sentimental memories for the headmaster, I am sure.

And, I just received my email on the AAW (online membership only) magazine - very nice writeup. CONGRATS!
