I am using this product mixed as usual with DA. great results on stainless s. The product is used for venetian plaster as an additive for diferent looks on artistic walls, but it works for engraving, it comes on various colors make no much difference, my results are black engraving I have not yet test on ceramics. I am using black olive M -2. get it from paint store shops or online, cost about $10.00 I have no pictures of my results but is very similar as engraving compounds.
Plaster of paris-Dry moly-vella metallics.

The picture you posted isn't legible and I'm uncertain as to the name of the product. Can you clear this up?

Like Mike said, can't quite make out the name of the product.
What power & speed settings do you use?
How do you clean it afterwards.
Thanks

I don't understand how you missed bailing wire on your list of tools. Out here in the midwest that's essential.

Looks like Vella Premium Plaster Wax:

Though I'm not sure how this is a marking compound. I see the typical oxides for color, but I don't see anything listed that would act as a "holding" agent. The graphite and Cobalt Iron Oxide itself may react enough with the SS to hold some color... I'd have to think on it.

would the heat from the laser open up the matrix and allow
the cobalt to bond with the carbon?
wow.. that almost sounded like I had a clue..

Yep, that seals it, then... chemical change in the SS, not a pigment deposition.

Thanks Oscar and Dan.
Mike, we don't use bailing wire here in the Northeast. GE Silicon II, however, is the uber-adhesive of choice

So what's wrong with "stick fixers" - the engineering solution of choice here in the UK.
