I'll take it over cold and rainy any day.

Yeah, it was hot here yesterday, too.

Some folks loved it. I'd MUCH rather have cold and rainy.

I worked primarily outside too many years. I will take 30 degrees and a breeze any day over bad air, heat, and humidity. Fall is the best, then Winter, then Spring (if we really had one here) and a distant last is Summer.

101 degrees here today, hot, baked, dry, shriveled. Blistered.

Don't tell me that! I'm going to Charlottesville in a few weeks to move my daughter back to SD (PhD grad), so I will have to work in that heat. But I do agree that the Virgina falls are fantastic! Riding motorcycle on the Blue Ridge highway in the fall is just about the best you can get. I've really grown to love VA.

You pretty much summed up the situation in the entire state. Wildfires are really a threat right now. The Okefenokee Swamp is burning (again).

Mid 90s here. Kind of hot for this time of year.

Come on down to the Texas Gulf Coast where the temperature and the humidity are both in the 90s.

Yup it's warming up... it's been in the 90's for a while... yesterday was a nice change of pace with the high in the 80s, though it did rain all day... we needed it.

Humidity is running pretty low for us, one reason for all the wildfire activity. Currently 92 with 41% humidity. Humidity tonight at 72%. Yuck.

I don't miss that humidity! After living in Charlottesville for 12 years and fighting through those gross hot and humid summers days, the no humidity of Utah has been very welcome! I was on a bike ride yesterday when one of the guys says "It's humid out today, I can see my sweat". I couldn't help but laugh - I couldn't step outside the AC in VA on a hot summer day without seeing my sweat! That's one of the few things I miss though - VA is an amazing state.

Just hope the summer doesn't turn out like it did last year for you Virginians.

Spend a night in Death Valley sometime and you may find that it is both. The spoiler is the word "Coast" and it is always wet and cold on the West Coast isn't it?

We are getting a small break in the heat today in Virginia, but right back up tomorrow. When it is hot and humid, there is this haze in the air. You walk outside and you feel like you are being poached. I miss the Bay Area.

Up here in the Pacific Northwest, we have not yet broke 70°. We are likely to do that this weekend.

Yesterday we had some tremendous pounding rain followed by bright sun that made steam come off the roof followed by more pounding rain followed by more steam making sun.

In the afternoon the sun started to win. It is amazing how quickly it goes from drenched to dry up here.

Currently it is broken clouds outside. The forecast is for dry weather until Tuesday when it has a 20% chance of rain again.

We are about a mile from the Columbia River and about 40 miles from the ocean.

The snow pack is at about 300% this year and the river is above flood levels.

On the news they show videos from all the river side pick nick grounds with the benches at the tables under water.

I wish I had a way to salvage all those logs floating down the river.

Yes, had to turn on the AC in the car on the way home, turned out it was 69!

Guess after so many months of cold that seemed hot.

Don't know the official temp today but my porch thermometer was showing 95 in the shade. I tried the shop (no A/C) for about an hour and gave up. Maybe later in the evening.

73 sounds nice, we'll be lucky to get that cool at night here for the next few months. Only made it to 99 today. Maybe one of these next few months it might actually rain too, but definitely not holding my breath on that one.

Just arrived in west Texas (Odessa) from the Texas Gulf coast. Went from 97 to 107 but it seems better. Could be that the humidity went from 73% to 7%. :D
