I have seen examples on the Creek of book-matched or double book-matched patterns accidentally creating gargoyles. I can't find any examples by searching, so I have come to two possible conclusions.
1) It happens but I am not searching with words that will help me find an example.
2) It was just a memory of a dream after putting too much tabasco on my enchiladas.
Can anyone point me to a picture of this odd phenomena. The swirls of burls and knots end up looking like a strange fictional creature when book-matched.
