And just for the benefit of the peanut gallery, I didn't mean it that way!:p

Here are a few more legs for some cabinets we're building. They're a custom size, so the boss wanted me to make them.... Took me about 1-1/2 hours each to turn these, because the diameters were so tedious. I should make some kind of sizing templates next time.

37-1/2" T x 2-1/2 square- turned portion is about 10-1/2" long, Alder

Great replication, Jim! I have not turned alder, but I imagine it turns really well. Nice profile on these.

geez Jim....You had to be emotionally spent after that....No template? I did a bunch of complicated fencepost tops once. I said, "never again".

But your work is really top notch. Well done sir.

Impressive duplication Jim! Should look great on the cabinets! You'll have to post a photo or two of the cabinets once they are finished.

Well when I say I needed a sizing template, I didn't mean I had nothing. You can see the "story board" I used. The combination square is covering up the dimensions.

What I meant is that I needed something with a fixed jaw opening for every sizing cut, so that I wouldn't have to use the digital calipers and the outside calipers to get my dimensions for every sizing cut... there are about 14 different ones on one leg, I believe..

Great job, and they all look alike! Good thing he didn't ask me to do it. :)
