... or a good deal of trouble?
I'd like to have a drum sander. Here's one in Huntsville:

Price is right; needs paper, ok, but "needs belt" worries me. Keep in mind Huntsville is 80 minutes from where I work, longer from where I live.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Any idea how old it is ? It's either just a lousy photo(s) or the unit appears a different color than I would expect it to be (white). That's why I'm wondering how old it might be.
I have the same sander and absolutely love it.
I paid 500 for mine, it was 1 year old and in as new condition. If it were me I'd try to chew the seller down a bit or pass on it.

Pete,
That's an older Performax.
Make sure both motors run.
New feed belt with be $90.
My 16-32 was "used but very good shape" with 4 rolls of paper ($45 value) was $325.
Go offer $200....worst he can say is No.
Once you get it, you'll wonder how you made it this far without it.

Looks like a really decent deal, considering new prices on Performax 16-32s!
80 minutes? For the record, I drove over 5 HOURS EACH WAY for my drum sander! But it was the Deal Of The Century, and the last one I will ever need!
