I don't use a lot of inserts but I do use them for jigs and the like. I have not really had any big problems inserting them, put a bolt and lock it with a nut and use a socket in the drill press and insert them by hand.

Well I saw these in the Rockler catalog and thought I would just have to give them a try. WOW they are great, chuck it in the drill press, put the insert on it then lower the chuck and turn it by hand, just as easy as can be and they are nice and square to boot.

It has a 1/4" hex on it so you can put it in a driver if you want. If you do a lot of inserts I think this is a must have tool.

I did a project once requiring 60 inserts - would've been a real PITA with out one of these. Used it in my driver since it was a vertical, on-site job. Got mine at McFeely's (http://www.mcfeelys.com/product/3606-SSD/14-20-Insert-Driver).

This is the first time I have seen one, I think its a really neat tool.
I guess with installing 60 of them you were really glad to have it.
