Snagged it last week, and it showed up in the mail two days ago. Definitely used, but seems to be in great working condition. Best of all... $30.

Looks nice, are the handles wood?

Can you tell what kind of wood?

Mine is a newer one with plastic handles.

I didn't think the 2101's ever had wood handles, did they? I thought they were always either some sort of hard rubber or composite?

Nice though! I haven't been actively looking, as I suppose I have enough braces, (well, I'd like a larger one but don't think I *need* it) but I'm always hoping I'll stumble across one of these....

I've never seen a 2101 with wood handles. I believe they were all the black "mystery material". That's a very fair price for what looks like a good brace.
Enjoy it!!

I think you are right. I just took a peek into George's basement (dot com) and it looks like they always had some kind of composition handles.

The image had a wood look to my eyes.

The handles are the mystery plastic. I'm actually quite pleased with the whole thing. I'm surprised the seller had a "Buy It Now" price, and that it was so low. There are some pretty wretched looking copies out there listing for twice as much!
