I picked up an HTC 2000 mobile base and after under the tenth time one of the levers that pushes the wheel down snaps in half when pressed down. I called them up and they are sending me a replacement one. Has anyone else had this issue with this base?

The HTC1000 has aluminum levers not sure why the more expensive one has plactic cams.

I have had an HTC 2000 under my Powermatic 141 bandsaw (~400 lb) for several years, and have not had any problem with the plastic levers.

I have had a HTC 2000 under a grizzly band saw for several years , no problem. I also owned a couple of 1000's never liked the thin aluminum cams. Always hurt my hand or foot when lowering the wheels.

If the "right" plastic is used breakage should not be a problem. Plastics does not always mean cheap.

I guess I got a bad lever.
